I like the idea of having something comfortable and my own to use when I'm in an unfamiliar place (hostels, boats, whatever). However, I'm a big guy who tosses and turns in his sleep, so I put the sleep sack to the test on a trip to Brazil where I was staying in a hostel.

After the first night, I realized I didn't toss and turn as much because I was worried about previous reviews that said if I did that, I'd probably destroy the sleep sack. However, in my effort to remain still, I didn't sleep well at all, and was one cranky irritable man the next morning. The next night I let myself go and was able to sleep as normal. It was weird being confined to such a small space, and I slept poorly and but I didn't notice any tears or weird damage to the bag. However, big guy + sleep sack means you'll end up bunching it up in odd places and it won't make for a comfortable sleep.

I ended up giving up on this and used it as a liner to protect myself from the hostel sheet. Granted, the sheets looked rather clean, but there was something nice about sleeping on a silk sheet.

For the price and the brand (Coleman has been quite disappointing in the last 2 decades) I was not expecting much.
But this little bag turned out to be a great little bag. Don't get me wrong, it's not what you'd put your kid in if you are headed to Banff in September, but it does the trick for most 3-season outings.
Held it up to the sun, and the baffling is pretty even. not bad for a $30 bag.

I bought this pillow because two hours into an 8+ hour flight I would want to cry from the pain in my lower back and sides. I used the pillow on a round-trip flight to Italy, and I literally forgot I'd ever had any issues. There was no pain! I honestly couldn't believe it.
I was in a car accident a few years ago, so sitting down for a long period of time (flying or otherwise) causes my lower back/sides to ache. Massaging doesn't get rid of the pain, and standing only stops the pain until I sit down again. I did not have the pain flying to AND from Italy. I still can't believe this tiny pillow did so much!
As others have mentioned you don't need to fill it up as much as you THINK you need to fill it up. You'll find yourself doing a lot of adjusting if you put too much air in it. Just unscrew the cap, let it fill for 5 seconds or so, then screw it tight again. No huffing and puffing (unlike traditional travel pillows).
It is 100% worth the price. You will not regret it.

I received two sleeping bags as a gift a while back which are very nice, but didn't come with a bag of its own (instead, came with a tie-up system which never works). They are also HUGE, and because of the lousy tie-up system, take up a ton of room.

I purchased a XX-Large compression sack, and it shrinks the bag down to half its size. It's pretty amazing. Construction on this bag is incredibly solid, all seams are in good places so they don't take the bulk of the pressure, and the cords are great quality.

The compression is also lengthwise, which allows for the best compression. Cheap Wal-mart compression bags compress around the circumference, which is just awful.

12/23/09 This sleeping bag was very expensive, but I definitely got what I paid for. It is very large, sort of like a heavy quilt. It has fabulous insulation, definitely used this for EXTREME COLD WEATHER. The price has gone down since a month ago, this is the best sleeping bag ever, it reflects your body heat back to you, keeping you hot and toasty.

What amazed me about the delivery was that it came in a big box, inside the big box was protective tissue wrap, under that was a very durable duffel carrying case, inside that was a white box, inside that was a plastic bag containing the actual sleeping bag. SWISS GEAR DON'T PLAY AROUND! They are extremely reliable when it comes to advanced equipment.
So the storage sack is actually a big duffel suitcase looking thing. The material is rugged and tough.
the only downside is that this mummy sleeping bag is very large and won't easily fit inside a regular backpack, you can always improvise but just a heads up, this is great for the worst cold weather ever!!!!!!!
