My old synthetic mummy bags were always warm enough but very constricting and heavy. My husband and I recently completed a month long trek in the Sierra Nevadas and both of us used this bag. Several things I want to point out about this bag. The "hugger" stretch system used by MontBell is fabulous. You'll never know you are sleeping in a mummy bag. You can bend your knees, sleep on your side, move around etc. with great freedom. The hood and neck baffle work very well with this bag. Even though I use a small down pillow, the hood stayed with me through the night (thus keeping me warmer) and the neck baffle really does help keep heat in. Warmth is, of course, a subjective thing, but we were never cold in these bags; even on cold and rainy nights at high altitude. Finally, these bags are just plain comfortable. This bag was my "bed" for a month and I was always glad to climb in after a long day of hiking... knowing I was going to be comfortable and warm.
