I was initially impressed by the minimal weight and size of this bag. However I was disappointed when I read the fine print on the packaging which states, "Temperature rating is based on enclosed environment with mattress." I still took it on my camping trip. I stayed in a three walled lean-to on a raised plywood floor. I used my High Sierra inflatable sleep mat, with this sleeping bag on top. I shivered all night long even though temperatures remained over 40 degrees all night. I had to toss my emergency hand warmer in the bag with me in order to get any measurable amount of comfortable sleep.
